OUR WORK...
To rescue and shelter the strays in most need of medical attention.
To help them recover physically and psycologically.
To place them in the most loving and suitable homes.
Extensive spaying and neutering of strays and pets belonging
to the underprivileged.
Education, awareness of all types of animal abuse, their rights
and their needs.
New: program of rescue/spay/release for healthy animals living
in friendly environments.
Spaying/ neutering is our priority, since it represents the means to avoid the birth of future homeless animals.
Our resources only allow us to perform an average of 35 surgeries a
month. The figure is not impressive, but it prevented the birth
of thousands of future strays.
Furthermore, we have performed four international sterilization
campaigns with the participation (pro-bono) of American and European
veterinaries. The last one (15 Nov.15 Dec. 2002) was sponsored by Dutch
organization Stichting Dierenhulp. 172 dogs and cats were
spayed.
Our veterinary services help finance our regular operations. Low
income persons are offered low cost or free medical care and spaying
for their pets. We also perform free field deworming and vaccination in
the villages for "poor"pets.
